CLAT

Common Law Admission Test is an All India level admission test to get admission in National Law Universities throughout the country.

CLAT is the most important exam for the candidates who want to pursue law as a career.

CLAT started in 2008, as a need to have a common admission test for all the national law universities so that candidates are saved from the expenses and inconvenience of appearing in several entrance exams for different law universities.

CLAT is conducted by one of the national law universities every year based on a rotational policy.

CLAT is conducted by


  • 1.NLSIU (Bangalore) in 2008

  • 2. NALSAR (Hyderabad) in 2009.

The CLAT-2010 is being conducted by National Law Institute

University, Bhopal.

There are 11 National Law Universities in which admission is through CLAT.
